- have or have ever had asthma or another lung disease; blood vessel disease; heart, kidney, or liver disease; diabetes; pheochromocytoma; or an overactive thyroid gland.
- are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Coreg, call your doctor.
- are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking Coreg.
Coreg may cause drowsiness. You should not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how Coreg affects you.
If you take Coreg and become dizzy and lightheaded, sit or lie down and then stand up slowly.
Coreg, Pregnancy and Breast-feeding
Taking Coreg while pregnant is not recommended. Studies of the use of Coreg in pregnant women have not been conducted although similar studies on animal have, and have shown some negative effects. In addition, the use of Coreg with breast-feeding is not recommended as the results of doing so are undetermined and may be harmful to the infant.
